Benfica spoke up about selling huge star Joao Neves to MU

Benfica's homepage recently spoke about the Joao Neves deal, who is said to be becoming MU's top target.

According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, MU is looking to attract midfielder Joao Neves, one of the bright young talents playing for Benfica. After selling Enzo Fernandez to Chelsea, Benfica discovered the outstanding talent of Joao Neves.

Joao Neves has a similar playing style to Enzo Fernandez. This 19-year-old player is very versatile, he can play as a central midfielder, defensive midfielder or even play as a winger. MU has continuously monitored Neves in recent times and is ready to make a transfer move for this player. The Red Devils sent scouts to Portugal to observe Neves for many months.

The young star born in 2004 is highly appreciated for his physical strength and good judgment and passing ability. The Red Man is said to be willing to spend 85 to 100 million euros on this deal. However, Benfica has denied the possibility of selling Neves to MU. They wrote:

"Benfica denies the existence of any transfer priority for Joao Neves. In any case, Benfica has not started negotiations with Manchester United or any other club regarding Joao. Nor have we intend to do so”.

Benfica highly appreciates the Portuguese player's potential and talent, they are expected to refuse to sell their star this coming January. Benfica only accepts negotiations in the summer of 2024. In addition to MU, a series of big teams have lined up to buy Neves.
